Dear Sean and Lynn - When Kathy and I decided last Spring that it was time to sell her parents' house, we had to start completely from scratch. We didn't know any real estate agents or contractors, we didn't know the local regulations, and we knew we would have to do most of the work remotely from our home in Menlo Park.

Fortunately someone referred you to us and it made the whole project manageable. At our first meeting you helped me think through exactly what we needed to do in order to both clean out the house and then prepare it to be listed. You referred me to contractors that were reliable and thorough (especially Patrick, what a gem!). Throughout the summer with your guidance I felt confident that we were doing the right tasks in the right order.

Although we were all anxious about the weak market when it came time for listing, I appreciated your careful analysis of how to think about pricing and your thoughtful coaching to Kathy and I so that we could come to a pricing decision. About a month ago we suddenly had an urgent need to sell our home in Woodland Hills in order to make an offer on a brand new home in Bend, Oregon where we plan to retire this July. We were not expecting to buy this early, but it was an opportunity we just could not pass up.

My wife Cleo had remembered Sean frequenting our neighborhood over the past year or so and was impressed with his knowledge of our area as well as his quiet, pleasant and helpful demeanor. Upon our finding our "Dream Home" on a Friday, we proceeded to get on the internet to look up Sean's phone number and called him. He remembered the visit with Cleo and he remembered our home as well, and agreed to give up his Sunday afternoon to meet with us. He listened very carefully to our needs.

He came fully prepared with an impressive booklet of comps as well as a current assessment of marketing conditions and included a number of pricing options and strategies. Sean was a pleasure to deal with and answered all of our questions. His preperation made it quite easy for us to make a decision that very evening to list the house for a fair price but priced to sell.

We requested the listing be delayed until Wednesday to allow time for us to clean and get the house ready to show. The listing description was very appropriate and by 10:00AM Wednesday there were brokers and clients already parading through our home. By Thursday we already had a clean offer more than the listing price which we accepted.

From that point on Sean and Susan were always available to answer our questions and to keep us informed of the status and progress toward a 30 day escrow. We were actually able to close a couple of days earlier due to the cooperation of the buyers as well as the follow up of the White House team.

Of course the best news is that the quick response by Sean to get our Woodland hills home on the market and sold in a day enabled us to successfully purchase our home in Bend, OR.
