La Crescenta-Montrose is a community of about 20,000 people, located north of Glendale and west of La Cañada Flintridge. Most of the community is within the city limits of Glendale, and the rest is within the city limits of La Cañada Flintridge or an unincorporated part of Los Angeles County.

A deep cleft in the hills below La Crescenta-Montrose provides an ocean view on clear days, and allows sea breezes to come into the Crescenta Valley, bringing cooler temperatures to otherwise hot summer afternoons and evenings.

In addition to the great weather, the community has award-winning public schools, which are part of the Glendale Unified School District.

Check out Deukmejian Regional Park, which offers hiking trails and the unique Le Mesnager stone barn. Nearby is Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, a year-round garden paradise, featuring a Japanese Garden, and the beautiful "Enchanted: Forest of Light" attraction from mid-November through early January.
