Bradbury, California
Bradbury is a small town of about 1,000 people and 1.9 square miles, located at the base of the San Gabriel mountains, east of Monrovia, and north of Duarte. Its city slogan is, "Preserving Rural Tranquility." Police and fire services are provided by Los Angeles County. Bradbury students are served by the Duarte Unified School District, which now includes the award-winning California School of the Arts.
Bradbury includes two gated communities: Bradbury Oaks and Bradbury Estates, with lot sizes of two acres to five acres and more. Many of the properties in these communities are horse properties, including many with multi-horse barns. The rest of Bradbury has homes on smaller lots, but they also have a distinctive rural feel.
In 2016, only 18 homes were sold in Bradbury. They ranged in price from $590,000 for a 1,352 sq.ft. home on an 8,835 sq. ft. lot, to $7.1 million for a 5,695 sq. ft. home on a 4.5 acre lot.
