Moorpark is a 12.799 square mile city in Ventura County, California. The population of this enchanting community is about 34,421 between Simi Valley and Santa Paula. In the center of the city, is a train station located on High Street, which has the Metro link Ventura County Line. This line is a commuter rail line operating within Ventura County, the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County and the city of Los Angeles.

Moorpark holds history that dates back more than a hundred years. It was founded in 1900 and is one of the first cities to run off nuclear power in the entire world, and also the first in America. Originally, Moorpark was inhabited by the Chumash whom were a Native American people who colonized the middle and southern coastal regions of California. After the Chumash, Robert W. Poindexter plotted Moorpark city streets and planted pepper trees in the downtown area. He named the city after the Moorpark apricot, which also grew throughout the city.
